A week ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers were winless and the season was in shambles. Now, with a big win on Monday night and an upset loss by the first-place Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh is playing Baltimore and has a chance to climb into first place in the AFC North.

Ravens at Steelers (+3.5): 1 p.m. 10/6

Pittsburgh is looking to keep its momentum going after beating up on the Cincinnati Bengals Monday night. The Steelers are underdogs in Sunday’s game and will pay out +148 on the moneyline at the BetRivers site.  On the opposite side, Baltimore is looking to rebound from an ugly loss to the Cleveland Browns last week. The Ravens are -180 on the moneyline. The game total has been set at 44.5 points. Fans who are attending Sunday’s game at Heinz Field may also want to check out the brand new sportsbook at the Rivers Casino, which celebrated its grand opening Monday.

Jets at Eagles (-13.5): 1 p.m. 10/6

The Philadelphia Eagles are a healthy favorite against the winless Jets and will pay out -770 in moneyline odds at PlaySugarHouse. The Jets, meanwhile, will bring a +510 moneyline return for anyone bold enough to bet on them.  The game total is set at 44 points. Bettors should monitor the status of Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, who missed the last Jets game with an illness. Temple at East Carolina (+12): 8 p.m. 10/3

The Temple Owls and East Carolina Pirates will help kick off the college football weekend with a game Thursday night on ESPN. Temple held Georgia Tech to just two points last week and will look to maintain their defensive dominance. Parx Sportsbook has the over/under for this game set at 47.5. East Carolina is +400 on the moneyline. The Owls are -530 on the moneyline with a team total of 29.5. The Pirates’ team total is set at 17.5

Purdue at Penn State (-28): 12 p.m. 10/5

The Penn State Nittany Lions are laying four touchdowns after dominating Maryland last week in a 59-0 shutout. FanDuel Sportsbook has no moneyline with such a heavy spread, so bettors will have to look to other odds in this contest. The over/under for this game is set at 56.5. Penn State’s team total is set at 42, while the Boilermakers number is 14. There are also a variety of first-half bets that can be made for this contest.

Texas at West Virginia (+10.5): 3:30 p.m. 10/5

The West Virginia Mountaineers are home underdogs in a contest with battle-tested Texas, which played LSU close in a primetime game earlier this season. West Virginia has won back-to-back games since a disappointing loss to Missouri. The Mountaineers are +295 to win outright at BetRivers. No. 11 Texas is -385 on the moneyline.  The Longhorns have to be careful not to look ahead of this game. Next week, Texas and Oklahoma play in the legendary Red River Rivalry. This week, the game total is set at 61.

Pittsburgh at Duke (-5):  8 p.m. 10/5

Pitt struggled somewhat last week against a lower-level Delaware team. Duke dropped its season opener to Alabama (42-3) but has rebounded with three straight lopsided wins. The Blue Devils are -200 on the BetRivers site. The Panthers are +163, The game’s over/under is set at 48.5 points. A number of alternate spreads, odds, and a first team to score prop bet is also available for this Saturday night showdown.
