PSB Pick Play: NFL Championship Week Features Intriguing Promos At PA Sportsbooks

Cinderella lives in Tennessee.

The Titans have advanced to the AFC Championship by defeating a pair of the NFL’s giants, recording consecutive upset victories against the New England Patriots and the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens.

Now, Tennessee will try to continue the fairy-tale run in Kansas City on Sunday in the AFC Championship. The NFC Championship game featuring the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers will follow.

In this week’s installment of Penn SportsbooksPick Play, we’ll tackle both games and cover all the corresponding odds at your nearest Pennsylvania sportsbook.

Let’s start with Cinderella.

Titans at Chiefs (+7.5): 1/19, 3:05 p.m.

Tennessee looks to continue its improbable run against Kansas City, who needed a comeback to take down the Texans last week. The game figures to be a contrast in styles.

The Titans have held their first two playoff opponents under 14 points. The Chiefs got a bye in the first week and then scored so many points last week (51), the stadium reportedly ran out of post-touchdown fireworks. BetRivers has the Titans at +280 on the moneyline, while the Chiefs are -375.

The game’s total is set at 52.5 points. BetRivers has more than 180 wagers available for Sunday’s game, including a wide range of alternate spreads and totals.

FanDuel Sportsbook is offering blown lead insurance on both NFL Championship games. Anyone who places a pre-game moneyline wager can receive up to $50 back in site credit if their team leads after any quarter but loses the game. FanDuel also has bets available on passing yards, passing touchdowns, touchdown scorers and individual team totals.

And DraftKings Sportsbook is actually boosting the odds for the first touchdown scorer in both games. Players can get odds of 10-1 or better on any player to score the first touchdown. Sunday’s game will be broadcast on CBS.

Packers at 49ers (-7.5): 1/19, 6:40 p.m.

The NFL nightcap offers another pretty interesting game, with Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers taking on a tough San Francisco defense. The 49ers cruised to a victory over the Vikings last week and the Packers beat the Seahawks to advance.

Parx Sportsbook has the 49ers at -335 on the moneyline. The Packers are +265. The game’s over/under is set at 46.5 points. Parx has prop bets available on a number of statistical categories (player passing, receiving, rushing), as well as touchdowns and touchdown scorers. There’s a lengthy list of alternate spreads and totals available as well.

Live betting should also be available for both games after kickoff. Over at FOX Bet, players can receive $1 in site credit for a Super Bowl bet for every $20 in wagers made on this weekend’s games.

Lastly, over at BetAmerica, in addition to the traditional bets, they have posted a number of prop bets on touchdown scorers and statistical totals.

Only two NFL games are on tap this weekend, but the PA sports betting apps have provided enough wagering options to allow for plenty of action.

When it’s all over, we’ll see if Cinderella’s slipper still fits.

Good luck and enjoy the games.
