Golf is on deck.
The UFC and NASCAR were among the first sports to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic, having the month of May almost entirely to themselves.
But now golf is joining in. PGA action returns next Thursday at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
For the first time in three months golfers will take to the links. They’ll sink putts for pars, birdies, and bogeys. On Sunday, a champion will be crowned. And after that, golf will return to something resembling a regular schedule, giving bettors and golf fans plenty of action this summer.
In this week’s installment of Penn Sportsbooks‘ Pick Play, we’ll get you ready for golf’s return with a rundown of all the odds at next week’s Charles Schwab Challenge.

The tournament action begins at 6 a.m. and will be broadcast on the Golf Channel and CBS. There will be no fans in attendance and numerous guidelines to ensure the golfers’ health and safety.
McIlroy was ranked as the No. 1 golfer in the world when the season was interrupted and will look to maintain that ranking next week. As noted by CBS Sports, McIlroy has finished fifth or better in his last five starts.
