At some point, the nightmare will end. No one knows exactly when, but eventually, we will all wake up from our terrible dream.
Life will resume its regular rhythm. Sports will return to our television. The calendar will flip to August, the bands will be marching and the football teams will be back on the practice field.
It sounds glorious, right?
College football betting is live at PA sportsbooks
Certainly, nothing is guaranteed, but those visions of college football might be the medicine we all need right now. And PA sportsbooks just prescribed a heavy dose of it.
Oddsmakers across the industry recently released some futures bets for college football and even some betting lines for big games throughout the season.
So, in this week’s PSB Pick Play, we’ll take a close look at some college football wagers and shift our focus to the brighter days waiting for us up ahead.

Betting lines are live for the season’s biggest games
It takes a leap of faith to get there, but one other wagering option for college football is to bet on individual games. PlaySugarHouse and a few other sportsbooks have posted betting lines for some of the season’s best games, starting with Navy and Notre Dame (-15.5) in Ireland on Aug. 29.
A week later, USC travels to Alabama (-16.5). On September 12, another pair of Power 5 teams meet when Ohio State (-6.5) travels to Oregon.
Penn State also has a couple of games posted for the upcoming season. On Oct. 3, the Nittany Lions are 4.5-point underdogs at Michigan. Later that month, PSU is a 5.5-point underdog when Ohio State travels to Happy Valley.
It’s a little hard to picture now. But at some point, we should all emerge from this sports drought.
Bands will march. Football games will kick off. Wagers will hang in the balance.
It’s a pleasant dream that will carry us through.
And, we’ll appreciate it more than we ever have before.
