PSB Pick Play: A Quick Look At Super Bowl Lines & Prop Bets

Offense shouldn’t be a problem.

The 49ers made it to football’s biggest game with a throwback rushing attack that eclipsed 250 yards (285 to be exact) in the NFC Championship. The Chiefs got there with a high-powered passing attack that scorched a tough Titans defense for 35 points.

And so, next Sunday’s Super Bowl should at least provide a few points. Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess.

In this week’s installment of Penn Sportsbook’s Pick Play, we’ll take a look at some of the wagers involving each team in Super Bowl LIV, along with their current prices at your nearest Pennsylvania sportsbook.

49ers at Chiefs (-1.5): 2/2, 6:20 p.m.

Kansas City is currently the favorite in what oddsmakers expect to be a close game. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. next Sunday on Fox. FanDuel Sportsbook has the over/under for the game set at 54 points, a number that likely got a boost from what should be favorable weather in Miami. With so many bets available for next Sunday’s game (BetRivers has 289 alone!), we’ll focus on some odds involving each team.

San Francisco

FanDuel has the 49ers team total set at 27 points, a number that is nearly three points lower than the team’s average this season. BetRivers has San Francisco as a 1.5-point underdog, with alternate spreads available between +15 and -12. The 49ers have the following odds for the first-touchdown scorer bet.

  • Raheem Mostert: +650
  • George Kittle: +1000
  • Deebo Samuel: +1200
  • Tevin Coleman: +1400
  • Emmanuel Sanders: +1600

These players’ odds to score the last touchdown are identical. There are also odds posted for the above players to score at any point in the game.

Finally, at Parx Sportsbook there are yardage totals posted for individual players. Mostert has an over/under of 69.5 rushing yards. Jimmy Garoppolo’s passing total is set at 240.5 yards. And in the Super Bowl, even the kicker gets an over/under. Niners kicker Robbie Gould has a total of 7.5 points.

Kansas City

FanDuel has the Chiefs team total set at 27.5 points, a number they have exceeded in both of their playoff games. However, the 49ers defense might be the best one they’ve faced this postseason. BetRivers has the Chiefs as 1.5-point favorites, with alternate spreads available between -15 and +12.

The popular first touchdown scorer bet carries the following odds for the Chiefs.

  • Damian Williams: +650
  • Tyreek Hill: +750
  • Travis Kelce: +800
  • Sammy Watkins: +1800
  • Patrick Mahomes: +2500

Those players also have odds posted on scoring a touchdown at any time.

At Parx Sportsbook, Williams has an over/under of 50.5 rushing yards. Mahomes has a passing yardage total of 299.5. And Kansas City kicker Harrison Butker has his point total set at 7.5.

The Super Bowl is still a week away, but with so many bets available, it never hurt to get an early start.
