Eagles vs. Cardinals Highlights Packed Football Betting Weekend

PSB Pick Play: Hurts So Good? Jalen and the Eagles Take Their Show on the Road in Week 15

Can he do it again? Last week, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a dazzling debut, running for 106 yards and throwing for 167 more as the Eagles took down the New Orleans Saints.

And this week, Hurts will hit the road Sunday against another explosive young quarterback, Arizona’s Kyler Murray.

Philadelphia Eagles rolling with Hurts again vs. Cardinals

The Eagles are six-point underdogs in Hurts’ encore, which will kick off at 4 p.m. Sunday on FOX.

And the sportsbook of the same name is offering some special synergy with the game in the form of a boosted wager. If Hurts eclipses 200 passing yards and 50 yards rushing, bettors can triple their money.

It’s a fun wager that might have a chance given Hurts’ success in his first start. But it’s just one of the options in a loaded winter football weekend that features some college conference championships starting on Friday, a couple of Saturday NFL games and the Steelers on Monday Night Football.

In this week’s installment of Penn SportsbooksPick Play, we’ll cover all the odds and available wagers at the top PA sportsbooks to get you ready for a flurry of football.

No need to wait for the weekend. College action starts Friday night

It’s a football Friday, with four college games scheduled, including the Pac 12 Championship featuring Oregon and No. 13 USC, who is favored by three. The total for that game, which airs at 8 p.m. on FOX, is 63.5 points.

On Saturday, Penn State plays a cross-division contest against Illinois. The Nittany Lions, who have now won three straight games, are favored by 15.5 points at FOX Bet. The game’s total is set at 52 points. Kickoff begins at 5:30 p.m. on FS1.

Outside of State College, Saturday’s schedule is filled with big games. Here’s a quick rundown of the notable matchups and their spreads according to FOX Bet:

  • Northwestern vs. No. 4 Ohio State (-20): Big Ten Championship Game; 12 p.m.
  • No. 5 Texas A &M vs. Tennessee (+14): 12 p.m.
  • No. 10 Oklahoma vs. No. 6 Iowa State (+6); 12 p.m.
  • No. 18 Louisiana vs. No. 12 Coastal Carolina (-3): 3:30 p.m.
  • No. 3 Clemson vs. No. 2 Notre Dame (+10): ACC Championship Game; 4 p.m.
  • No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 7 Florida (+17.5): SEC Championship Game; 8 p.m.
  • No. 23 Tulsa vs. No. 9 Cincinnati (-14): AAC Championship Game; 8 p.m.

And if that’s not enough action, there are a pair of pro football games too. In NFL action, Buffalo (-6) travels to Denver and Carolina visits Green Bay (-8).

FOX Bet featuring more than 350 wagers for Eagles-Cardinals

Despite a disappointing 4-8-1 record, the Philadelphia Eagles still have a 12% chance of making the playoffs according to the New York Times. In fact, the Eagles could even still win the underperforming NFC East. So Sunday’s game with Arizona, which also provides a second look at Jalen Hurts as a starting quarterback, is worth watching.

FOX Bet has responded with 368 wagers at press time. As mentioned earlier, the Eagles are 6-point underdogs and they carry a moneyline price of +210. The game’s over/under is set at 49.5 points.

In addition to the the boosted bet on Hurts’ stats, there are numerous team and player wagers posted for Sunday’s battle of the birds. FOX Bet has player props and team totals and a number of other options to provide some Sunday action.

Steelers favored for a healthy rebound against lowly Bengals on MNF

The Pittsburgh Steelers started the season 11-0 and have lost two straight. Thankfully for them, the Cincinnati Bengals (2-10-1) are their next opponent. Pittsburgh will meet its AFC North rival at 8:15 p.m. on Monday night in Cincinnati. FOX Bet has the Steelers as 12.5-point favorites with a moneyline price of -650. The game’s total is set at 40.5 points.

There are a wide variety of team props posted, as well as bets on each quarter or half to keep the game interesting throughout, even though it may not stay that way on the field. Live betting lines should also be available soon after kickoff.

In fact, a few wagers might be the best way to add a little more intrigue to a game that could certainly be one-sided.

Perhaps it’s not the most enticing matchup Monday. But the weekend football schedule has plenty of others, with the action starting Friday and some massive college football games following close behind on Saturday.

And then on Sunday, Jalen Hurts hopes to record his second win as a starter.

It’s the battle of the birds, with a boosted wager on Hurts to make everything more interesting.

Can he do it again?

We’ll soon find out.
