Just pick one.
It’s the best time of year for basketball fans. There are games just about everywhere.
Almost every conference is playing. And at times it seems there’s basketball on every channel.
It’s hoops overload, basketball on overdrive, a relative overdose for all the basketball and betting junkies who look forward to every March.
And FOX Bet is getting into the spirit by giving everyone who bets $10 on basketball this weekend a free $10 wager to use on NCAA March Madness games.
And all you have to do to earn it is just pick one. Maybe the Sixers on Sunday. Or some college basketball Saturday or Sunday. Any NBA or NCAA wager qualifies.
So in this week’s installment of Penn Sportsbooks Pick Play, we’ll cover some of this weekend’s college basketball and NBA odds to get you ready for FOX Bet’s promotion.
Sixers will face the Spurs without Joel Embiid
On Sunday, the 76ers take on the Spurs at 6:30 p.m. Philadelphia maintains a one-game lead on the Brooklyn Nets for first-place in the Eastern Conference. Game lines for the contest should be posted soon.
And except for a bone bruise that will keep him out two weeks, momentum had been building for Sixers star Joel Embiid’s MVP candidacy.
Embiid had been the favorite for the league’s MVP Award, but that wager is off the board temporarily due to his injury.
The Sixers are third in Eastern Conference futures with a FOX Bet boost from +450 to +550. Brooklyn (+125) and Milwaukee (+300) lead the way.
Championship Week offers a whole bunch of betting options this weekend
In college wagers, most of the power conferences are in action, with games tipping off throughout the weekend. Saturday night many of the conference tournaments will reach their conclusion. On Sunday, there are tournament finals for the following conferences:
- Patriot League – Loyola vs Colgate (-10); 12 p.m.
- SEC – Teams TBD; 1 p.m.
- Atlantic 10 – VCU vs. St. Bonaventure (-2); 1 p.m.
- American – Teams TBD; 3:15 p.m.
- Big Ten – Teams TBD; 3:30 p.m.
And then a few hours later, the fun will really begin. The NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed during the Selection Sunday broadcast at 6 p.m. on CBS.
Following that, PA sportsbooks will be hard at work posting a plethora of odds and futures for the tournament. The First Four games begin a few days later on Thursday this year. This PlayPA preview will get you ready for it all.
We’re almost there. Consider this weekend an appetizer, with the main course following just a few days later.
And thanks to FOX Bet, a little action this weekend will bring even more later.
You just have to pick one.
