Celebrate Monday Night Football With Rivers Sportsbook Grand Opening

Now, this is a tailgate party.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is celebrating the grand opening of its new $5 million sportsbook just in time for the Pittsburgh Steelers home game on Monday Night Football.

BetRivers Sportsbook will offer 55,000 square feet of space. And it will certainly take a few bets on the Steelers versus Cincinnati Bengals game at Heinz Field. It will be kicking off at 8:15 p.m., which is a few blocks away from the casino.

BetRivers Sportsbook will feature more than 25 TV screens

The BetRivers grand opening event starts at 2:30 p.m. and will have special events and activities throughout the evening. IceBurgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins mascot, will be in attendance. A DJ and confetti cannons will also keep the party vibe going.

For those who are trying to watch more than one game Monday night, the BetRivers Sportsbook should have plenty of options. The new sportsbook will have two giant, 50.5-foot-by-7-foot TV monitors, as well as 24, 86-inch flatscreens spread throughout the space.

It figures to be a great place to watch games with the ability to bet on all of them if you so choose.

Sportsbook is opening in previous location of Levels Lounge

Patrons looking for the new BetRivers Sportsbook should have an easy time locating it. The sportsbook is occupying the former space of the Levels Lounge, which is located right in the middle of the casino.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, there will be club chairs for guests and seating for about 195 people. There will also be betting windows and 33 self-service kiosks for those interested in placing wagers.

Pittsburgh Rivers has been one of the state’s leaders in betting handle

The new BetRivers Sportsbook will further enhance what is already a strong sports betting brand. According to numbers from the PA Gaming Control Board (PGCB), Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino sportsbook led all nine of the state’s sportsbooks in retail handle in July and was in third in August.

Even though the emergence of online betting is responsible for the bulk of the betting, BetRivers Sportsbook figures to remain busy considering its location. Heinz Field hosts the home football games for both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Pittsburgh. PNC Park, which is home to the Pittsburgh Pirates, is also within walking distance of the casino. The Rivers Casino property is also adding a hotel in the near future. According to CBS Pittsburgh, the seven-story, $60 million Landing Hotel should be finished by the end of 2020.

All of that should keep BetRivers Sportsbook a happening place. But first, it needs a grand opening.
